Around Merzouga by 4x4

Our Activity Around Merzouga by 4×4 will start with a pick up from your accommodation and we’ll start our trip by visiting Hassi Labied oasis, a garden beside the sand dunes that are managed by the people of the village, there you’ll see how the people get the water from the sand dunes to the garden using a traditional irrigation system.
Then we continue to the Merzouga Lake ( A seasonal lake ) it’s a destination of popular migration birds when the lake is full of water. we can skip the visit to the lake when it’s dry.
We will continue our way to Khamlia village, once we arrive at Khamlia village we’ll have the opportunity to listen to and enjoy the Gnawa music played by local people.
We will continue our journey into the black desert ( volcanic stones ), a mountain with a panoramic view that will be our first stop in the desert before we continue to the Mifis Village, an old village built by the French during the colonization. it’s also known as the mines village due to the mineral mines where some Moroccan people still work on the active mines.
The next stop will be with a nomadic family in the desert who still lives in the tent, there we will have a cup of tea in the desert tent and experience the nomadic lifestyle.
Driving on the sand dunes back to Merzouga village or some other villages near Merzouga to have lunch and drop off you at your accommodation.
